Permalink Happy Birthday!
My birthday was this last weekend (happy birthday to me:]) This is a shot from my party that my sister actually took. It actually had two exposures. I took it into Photoshop CS5 and created a little HDR shot. I think it looks kind of cool.

Looking at the beauty of everything.

Driving HomeIf I’ve learned anything from all the art classes I’ve taken it is to truly stop and analyze everything. Recently I’ve noticed that even the most mundane things in life are beautiful. Take a busy road. Driving home from work, it’s already dark out because of the time shift and all the different lights flash through the windshield. Add some rain in the mix and then the fog. All these colors start to blend until you use the window wiper. Every aspect has it’s own personality. The street lights, headlights, giant business signs. Everything is beautiful. It’s almost impossible to explain this revelation in words. The only real way to understand is through experience.

So the next time you are tired, grumpy, just look around and really take in what you see. Take advantage of your ability to see and feel the beauty that surrounds you.
